Mount Kailash is a legendary place in Tibet, with a height of 6718 meters. It is recognized as a holy place by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. Recently, some pictures were captured by Google maps in which Lord Shiva’s face was apparent on Mount Kailash, a place believed to be his abode.

According to legend, immortal Shiva lives atop Kailash where he spends his time practicing yogic austerities and making joyous love with his divine consort, Parvati.
Hindus do not interpret Shiva’s behaviors as contradictory; rather see him as a deity who has wisely integrated the extremes of human nature and thus transcended attachment to any particular, and limited, way of being.
